anw...finally got myself the mp3 player! its a muvo sport C100...and hell it took me a long time to decide! (sorry guys...really sorry u guys had to wait stupidly for us..haha..paiseh!) was choosing b/w this model and the much more conventional + supposedly better looking + supposedly lighter and less bulky muvo Micro.man..that was the toughest choice ever..finally realised that i shld get this because anything smaller than my index finger will probably be missing if its in my hands..so bombard me with regret if you want!haha...
there's still another 4 papers...but effectively A lvls are over.more or less...its now like trying to slap myself awake by tellin myself "do you actually want your A or do you just wanna go thru A lvls?" but til now...no slapping done yet!haha...

realised that i may infact not hav that much time before prom.to visit hengwan and his dad (why do rich ppl in shanghai always have so many ppl to meet til he can't meet us, his friends ?!) on our last day we can only touch PIE's tar and smell jurong's air only on the night of the 7th..and prom's on the 8th! guess i have to do alot of buying before i leave on the 27th...sigh.the guys won't like this
leongwoon offered me a job too good to resist.sounded like telemarketing...but here's the dig (listen up liyan if you still can't find a job :D )..administrative/marketing/planning..office currently at telok ayar (or sth lidat) but moving soon to Robinson point..flexible working hours..hundreds to thousand a month..is that cool or what ?! i'm still waiting for the catch though (1 of them being...goin thru an interview)...
so now's the hard part...how to turn up for softball training, play soccer, help out in np, work & earn money, and whip myself into shape all at the same time !? haiz...i haven't even started on enjoyin myself!
guess i'm really moving too fast...still have econs paper 1 & 2 (daniel wong laughed when i told him everyone's banking on wages for essays...and he non chalantly said it "shld be out for wages lor"..speak abt ripley's believe it or not!!) to go...and physics 3..sigh..
oh sux oli the fat girl got booted out...making the finals a totally ALL GIRL thing.American Idol 3 had such a huge following cos of a particular hawaiian hotty...and Singapore Idol has 2 (ok...taufik rox..) GUYS up on stage for the finals tryin to swoon and woo the fans off the ground with their...singing of others' songs? help...think only the malay population (and i'm thinkin mostly girls) and sly's horde (much like WCIII's horde of orcs..if you ask me ) of female shrieking fans will watch at the supposedly "8000 sitter sold out" national indoor stadium..yeah rite.
sleep problems are definitely a chore (or whore). when i really want to slp, i can't slp..when i don't wanna slp...i can't wake up.had no paper yesterday...but insomia ensured i'll hit the sack only at 2.30am...and that's without the restless flipping arnd to find the optimum position for my head to shut off.guess what time i woke up today...530!! god!! i slept at 2 and y am i up at 530 on a saturday ?! argh!
did i mention my folks here? suddenly they're freaking good to me! when i told my mum i bot that mp3 player...she gave me that quizical look (meaning she had no idea what's muvo sport C100) but smiled when i said its using the $ she gave me for my bday..when my dad came back (i seriously half expected him to blow cos i totally DID not consult w any of them b4 the purchase) we chatted a little...and i showed him the C100..and we ended up talkin abt the pros and cons of more space, smaller lighter frame, dry cell or li-ion batt...and even where to download songs! man...sth's really fishy (and its not my nasi lemak's fish)

after so long...i can finally announce i've completed 2/3 of A lvls!! yeah!! this calls for some celebration..rite? WRONG!
papers this year have been very very unique as compared to the papers of prev years..hence highlighting the fact that blindly memorizing answers from the TYS will NOT help in preparation for exams, no matter what your teacher tell you (of cos there is a small measure of help by memorizing..)
maths this year has been nothing short of surprising.after practising my ass off on integration (by parts, substitution, area, volume, trapezium rule and MORE), cambridge decided to make a fool out of me by...not testing me on anything remotely near the extent i've practised.so much for the sleepless nights and huffin and puffin in the afternoons tryin to rack my brains up..ofcos different ppl have different expectations, and ultimately different views on how well they did for the paper.personally...i think it sucked but still do-able...i hope..
maths paper 2 was worst.stats was kinda..unpredictable and qn27 (i'm sure every1 remembers qn27..) was so dumbly phrased i spent a good 5 minutes tryin to figure out what was actually being said.needless to say the completion of that question was far frm satisfactory.the most aggravating thing is...i've spent nights not sleeping well (u really dun wan me to repeat my adventure with my mum, rite? vincent can fill you in..haha) jus because i was totally freaked out for my maths...and somehow i felt my efforts are wasted...down the bukit timah canal in fact
econs was the most screwed.throughout the post prelim period every single econs teacher in NJ stressed the importance of wages and labour market.there's even a very nice question in the prelims jus for wages...and Ms Ong nicely said "prelims is to prepare you for 'A' lvls" yeah rite!! after spending an entire afternoon on wages...i was totally stunned when i flip that stupid piece of paper that lousy afternoon...NOTHING ON WAGES!! hardly anything on market structure (a whole evening!!) and lots of macro (phew..).the sucky thing is i didn't finish the paper! hell...i was so engrossed in the externalities question i kinda pushed the "literary download" button in my head and kinda...shitted everything out for that question to the extent it was as long as my gp essays..and needless to say i only had 20 minutes left for the last question (where i was supposed to hav 45 mintues?)...screwing...ain't it?
physics was equally up to the unpredictable mark.i was totally in panic mode b4 the paper cos..after 3 days of 3 hrs slp per night and rather fervent download of information...i could hardly keep my eyes (and brain) operating to prepare physics...the paper, however was fairly attemptable. whenever someone asks you to do alot of tys questions...DO SO! physics paper 1 came out 3 exact questions frm the TYS...and a couple more based on similar concepts...what a gift! atlast my efforts (however last minute) ain't gone to waste.paper 2 was...in weijie's own words...easy on the surface but underlying-ly tricky..adding spice to the already unpredictable mix..
guess now i owe my brain a good shut off...so i'm off to bed! can't wait to get my hands on the mp3 player.finally can put that $ i got for my bday into good use..eh?haha...

temptation over rules self-discipline..haha.but u can't blame me.dun think any1 on earth can possibly stop him/herself frm diverting their attention away from books and notes in this period of immense brainless and endless mugging.
in vincent's house now with weijie to study (hmmm...) but finally realised its not the environment that matter...its the level of self motivation. and i'm seriously lacking in that department..and there's still another week!
the match yesterday was fairly entertaining..atleast way more entertaining den the games i played.realised why clement left..his crescent girls are so much better then i tot (and saw the last time round).the crescent girls are only 15 yrs old max..and they probably hav the physique to outrun, out throw and out perform our girls..and the score line is of little wonder..guess its nothing to be surprised of considering the fact that they hardly had any real match practice and experience before this match, and they had to face the defendin C div champs on their first match as a team..but the performance hardly merited A div standard, right?! (i'm not talkin abt pitching..)
pitchin wise...tot liyan was doin not bad.considerin i was being very very selfish and stingy durin the match cos of the coaches and of the senior players arnd, she could've gotten more strikes out of any other umpire..jus so that you know la.
kinda got myself an idea on how to get myself back to shape. every morning i'll wake up early to jog, come to school early to do weights if i'm comin to train them for softball, go for a swim in the afternoon or runnin down to cat high to train, and prob play soccer/badminton when i'm free..all in a month! but here's where the question of selfmotivation comes in...
alright...subconscioulsy typed another essay..bear with it yea? i'll prob not do this anymore.

gp today rox..i gotta admit that.for the very first time since the PSLE english paper i actually understood what i wrote. no more 5 pages of complete nonsense, but rather 4 pages of comprehensible words. no more 5 pages of utter gibberish, but instead 4 pages of feelings, emotion, and the words i ideas i hope i can put across.the only trouble is, i sure hope i wasn't too candid in some of my expressions, but since Mr Yee said its better to include personal feelings (as typically exemplified by Viv Koh's essay) den factual and economical jargon..and that's what i did. hope it worked..cos like heming said "this is your best subject, right?" yeah whatever.
studied for quite some time on the topic of bioethics and the numerous argument for and against the different processes of bioengineering and euthanasia etc etc etc.pretty exciting and enriching..certainly food for thought.haha..wondered what it takes to be a bioethicist..bet it takes lot of brain matter and logical deduction..and definitely a clear sense of morality, which i doubt i have.hahaha...but the sad thing is there was NOTHING on bioethics!hell..if Cambridge included a question remotely related to bioethics, i could probably do what vincent did : pure regurgitation...and that would prob gain me more marks den advertising for advertising's sake.did alot of media violence and stuff..and similarly nuthin went my way.jus hope everything turns out good.
anyways, somethin kinda freaky happened today.when i was at serangoon mrt station, a young lady came runnin towards me and said sth like "sorry sorry...hello...erm..can i borrow your phone?" well...any guy with common good sense and a heart of gold will say yes and helped a damsel in distress, rite? but i was rather reluctant, cos 2 yrs ago (somewhere arnd this date) a malay guy asked the same question, and left me with a black eye and my phone gone for my graduation. ofcos the idea of chasing a lady down 4 blocks and across 2 roads sounds outrageous, but the thought of re-living that encounter strikes me hard and cold..but nvrtheless being such a nice guy (h.a.h.a.) i reached into my pocket to fish out my phone, and she called her bf i think.apparently she got off the train when her bf forgot to..and she was so lost she was kinda...frantic to be honest.the power of love sia...hahaha.but i may be wrong.
ruud scored 4 goals..a hat trick of which was presented to him on a silver platter...one was on gold.haha.guess that's the difference between him and strikers like ronaldo and henry..but nvrtheless brings abt the question of whether you want to be efficient but uninspiring, or gifted and a beauty to watch but not nearly as dependable..which will you be?

i was tailed to school today and i finally realised the pain in being stalked.vincent that basket trailed me all the way from the bus stop up to the main gate of RGPS..and accidentally caught me at the worst possible time..so dude keep whatever you saw to yourself!!
i'm not trying to brag or what, but realised doing so many econs MCQs certainly helped quite abit.before prelims everyone used to turn to Junyuan for help in econs.now even jy's turning to me for help in econs.hell..who could've expected that? but i guess after 20++ mcq papers i outta be good at sth.haha.lets just hope this transpires into confidence when it comes to the paper..cos i'll prob need my econs as much as i need my GP.
was tryin out physics mcq..and i didn't do too badly as well.talk abt pure luck or pure brains...i managed to get most correct (ie out of 46 i only had sth like 9 wrong..).guess this gotta be another confidence booster..but its still in its totally embryo stage.
played badminton (again) with the guys..and broke a rackat (again).this time the string snapped on me..not too sure why.i've never been a hugh smasher or sth..so the string snapping on me when i'm on my poorest day speaks volumes (of the craftmanship ofcos!).today's gotta be the worst day i've ever held a rackat.nothing came out good from my rackat, and the fact that Ms Ho was having so much fun with her soccer boys (meaning we actually spend close to an hour doing NOTHING) and the incessant noise produced by hockey sticks crashing together, hockey ball hitting against sth really hard, and girly shrieks (well capable of cracking any form of glass panals) made concentration any easier.I was already having a headache, so pardon me ppl (esp weijie since we practically couldn't connect the whole time until the only game we won) for bein moody and dreaming on the court.
totally burnt my legs out and finally comprehend the term dead legs in all sense of the words.my legs are as good as K.O-ed when i got home..never felt so sore.guess i seriously need help in fitness after As.

Another reason y the EPL is getting boring.How on earth did man u lose 2-0 to portsmouth? simple..by creating lots of chances in the early 15 minutes which can make liverpool's draw with deportivo look like a normal average match, and making shaka hislop work so much his gloves mite just be worn out by the end of 90 minutes.on the other hand, portsmouth simply barged their way around (with lualua and the yak) for example and simply rough-house their way down to a victory.nevertheless i shall be generous in defeat by saying..man u did the same against arsenal so its our just rewards.
liverpool couldn't win blackburn..which is surprising consider blackburn is at the absolute foot of the table..but the surprise of the day came from highbury.everyone spoke of the baptism of fire and how arsenal players would be fired up and, lead by king henry and baron vieira, bull doze over the hapless saints, who may require much more then divine intervention to stay in the match. yeah right! the king missed a penalty, and the gooners were trailing 2-1 by the end of 90 minutes..which was surprising but nevertheless sweet.however, some1 forgot to include robin v. persie in the script early on, and the newest bad boy from holland (never is ruud one of them) scored a screamer..and ended 2-2.screw it..when luck's w u..luck's w u.
real continued their slow rolling with owen scoring yet again! hell...if he scores 5 in 5 games i'm gonna buy toto, 4D, soccer, basketball, tennis and even dog racing! liverpool's hearts will ache sia..haha.but who cares..real still won by 2-0 against getafe (results that matter).
another reason why i'm watching more of serie A..roma (yes..the one with totti) won cagliari (yes..the one with zola) 5-1 in the eternal city..and i managed to catch 4 of the 6 goals! actually...2 of the 6 goals came even before i really settled down..and totti looks a sparkle in that team..its a great wonder what are they doing in mid table.juve continued their winning streak (8 games in 9) with a 3-0 win over..chievo.that was also nice to watch..quick efficient goals and slow build-up..definitely more pleasing than the rough-house tactics of the epl.haha..
anw..'O' lvls started with higher chinese today..all the best to my bro! and that means...As starting too! but hell...one paper this week...one paper the next..and 3 papers each for the nxt fortnight.y can't they make it 2 a week ?! (oops...no offence to those taking chem..haha)
seoul garden meal's gone..but nvrtheless proved sth i kinda predicted.no matter the resistance at heart, guys will always be naturally inclined to the whimps of the ladies..and their mere presence is the reason for our survival.so don't bother telling yourself you'll never walk that path anymore unless you wanna shave bald and have 6 holes burned into your scalp, cos your plan will fail anywhere else other then in a monastery.haha..jus my opinion in anycase.
